Its glossy color pages are full of all sorts of tips for all kinds of fishing: making your own lures from scrap, finding the best spot to fish in stream or lake, etc. Despite the use of the word Manual in the title, this is not a how-to guide for the absolute beginner. When it comes to fishing, anglers typically want to get the information they need quickly -- knot tying or the common rig for bottom fishing bluegill. This book does provide the information you need quickly without the filler found in many other books of its kind.
